Sonja - Reference Sheet

Not really sure what to label reference sheets, so I just placed it in the "Drawing & Illustration, Drawing, Other, Digital Work" section.

This is for the upcoming AFL thing that's going on at deviantART. Duh. I really didn't have much luck with entries to previous tournaments due to "life" getting in the way. I had to drop out of that "Got Beef" tournament a while back. I have nothing but time on my hands now... Besides, the way things are going in my life, it's best to have some fun. I've been doing commissions for a while, so it would be nice to do something for myself... for a little while.

I was against these things, but a lady I recently met on here said that it's a good way to practice skills and meet other artist. Looking at my gallery, I do need practice, so you'll see actual comic book panels from me.

Sonja is a character I helped developed with my brother, Josh. She's one-half of a mercenary duo known as the Massacre Twins. I wrote a brief description on the image.

The reference sheet pretty much has everything you need for the character. Personality wise, she's like a blend of bubbly and psychotic. I guess you can compare her to Tira (Soul Calibur) or Harley Quinn (Batman: The Animated Series) if that helps.

I want to make a shout out to Reiq. The way I made her skin shine is something I've picked up from looking at his work. The dude has a bunch of tutorials and things you can view on youtube: [link]
